David de Ferranti

David de Ferranti is the President of Results for Development Institute. He was previously the World Bank’s Regional Vice President for Latin America and the Caribbean from 1999 to 2005, and in this position responsible for a $25 billion loan portfolio.

From 1994 to 1999, he oversaw the Bank’s research and financial support to countries worldwide in the areas of health, education, nutrition, and other social services. In addition, he has been a Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution, a Senior Advisor at the United Nations Foundation, an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University, an advisor to Carlos Slim and his infrastructure investment group in Latin America and an advisor to an emerging high-tech enterprise.
